The Classico® brand was originated in 1986. Classico® Tomato & Basil sauce was one of the first flavors to be launched and since then it has established itself as the #1 premium flavor of the category. The Classico® brand was created with the idea of bringing the regional tastes of Italy to America. The authentic pasta sauce flavors represented the differing flavors and ingredients found in the many regions of Italy.

Today, the Classico® brand continues to be proud of the craftsmanship that goes into each passionately prepared sauce. More than 25 varieties are inspired by the authentic cooking styles and unique ingredients found in specific regions of Italy, from our Basil Pesto topping recipe reminiscent of Genoa to the Fire-Roasted Tomato and Garlic sauce flavor reminiscent of Siena.

Each recipe uses only the finest ingredients, such as vine-ripened tomatoes, aromatic cheeses and pure olive oil, carefully combined with a selected list of seasonings to bring out their rich flavor.
