Sun-dried Tomato

Sun-dried Tomato

In the seaside villas of Capri, sun-dried tomatoes acquire their rich intensity from the Mediterranean sun. Here, that distinct flavor creates a unique expression of a classic marinara sauce.

Jeremy T / You just need to make sure that everything is slirete. This means boiling your jars and gaskets for 8 minutes first. (Brewing supply stores also sell no-rinse one-step sanitizers that will also do the trick.) When canning, bring your sauce to a boil and immediately transfer them to the hot jars. It's best to keep the jars in the hot water, remove them, shake the excess water off and then add your hot liquid. Placing hot liquid in a cold jar can cause it to break or shatter. Then just close the jar and let it come to room temperature. As it cools it will automatically create a vacuum seal. Keep your goods in a dark place light can make them spoil quicker. Traditionally alum is used as a preservative for canning vegetables, but I would refrain from adding it to a sauce.

Bring Back Asap!!!!

This is hands down Classico's Best Sauce. It taste homemade! I use it in all my pasta dishes. It really didn't get a fair shake in the stores. For years only Albertson's would carry it. I don't think it was marketed well. I would buy it by the case if it was available.

Please bring back!

I NEED this sauce back! My family is full of American servicemen who crave a signature pasta dish I make using this sauce as a key ingredient. I have tried your other sauces which are ok, but not the same. They are really disappointed that I can't make their favorite meal for them when they are on leave. Don't let my family tradition die! Bring back this sauce!

YES, BRING IT BACK!!!!

I use this sauce as a base for many recipes and it's making me nuts that I can't find it.

Please bring back the best tasting tomato sauce! I can't make my pasta without it because it lacks the quality and taste of your Sun-Dried Tomato sauce.

I agree BRING THIS BACK!!!

Can't Find, Really Miss It

I can:t find anywhere and it is my familiy's favorite. I just don;t want pasta anymore because I don;t like the other sauces. It's a shame I can;t find it. Maybe Heinz will make it available again or more widely.

Bring back sun-dried tomato!

Albertson's has stopped carrying the sun-dried tomato sauce. My family wants it back. It's the tastiest. None of the other grocers in San Diego carry this product. Can we purchase it online?

stop the insanity

This sauce has long been my favorite and I've been recommending it to anyone who would listen. I have been having a really hard time finding any of late, really hope this hasn't been discontinued or something! This is a fantastic product and I hope to see it on my supermarket shelves again really soon!

My favourite sauce for the last 15 years
Posted on 2/10/2014 by Simone
It's been 15 years since I first tried this sauce and I have never looked back. I've had other sauces of course and accidentally picked up a different variety by mistake but nothing is ever as good as Classico's Sun Dried Tomato variety. At the moment I can't find it anywhere in stores or online and am terrified it's been discontinued. Please bring it back to the shelves!

The best

This is my total favorite of all. All of a sudden the Albertson's by my house in Duarte, Calif. isn't carrying it! I would like to know what happened and what other store carries that flavor. Not my Ralph's,not Stater Bros., either. Help!!!!!!!!!

This is by far our favorite pasta sauce. It has a rich sundried tomato taste and goes well with any kind of pasta.
